Event Preview

NV Demarest senior Liam Paneque leads the state into the long jump showcase as NJ No. 1 at 23-2. He's cleared 22-5+ three times this season. Three victories and his only loss coming on jumps at Bergen County Champs to Jason Lessieu of Bergen Catholic.

Lessieu is the seventh seed coming in at 21-11.25.

Paneque is also the fifth seed for the high jump out of Groups with a 6-4 and third for the triple at 46-06.25. 

Rece Englehart of Moorestown enters as NJ No. 2 with his 22-5. He's only competed in the event twice this indoors and both are 22-2 and above. 

Noah Cooper of Union Catholic, NJ No. 3 at 22-04.75, is the top returner from last year's Meet of Champs. He finished second as  a sophomore with a 23-00.5. He opened indoors 2024 with five straight wins and has two performances over the 22 feet. 

Also entered over 22 feet is Zhamir Rowan of Columbia HS, Roodkerry Barthelemy of Elizabeth HS, and Justice Hicks of Union Catholic.
