Junior Emma Zawatski of Freehold Township will seek to complete the prestigious triple crown, a Meet of Champions title in all three seasons.
Zawatski, who won the 1600m at the outdoor Meet of Champions last spring and captured the M of C title in XC this past fall, is a big favorite to win based on her 4:48.71 mile in Boston last month, which is No. 7 in state indoor history.
Zawatski's biggest challengers should be Julia Scrudato of Montgomery, who was second in the Group 4 race in 4:54.89, and Tilly O'Connor of St. Rose, the Non-Public B winner who has run 4:55.76 for the mile this season. But there is a chance that Scrudato and O'Connor will run the 3200m instead. Or maybe they will double? Time will tell.
