Two of the best young stars in the state will clash in this one.
Freshman Sianni Wynn of Pennsauken, the Group 3 winner and state leader with a state freshman record-tying 7.04, and sophomore Taylor Aska of Union Catholic, the Non-Public A champion in a NJ No. 10 7.10, will square off. Naylah Jones of Timber Creek is right there as well with a 7.11.
The 7.04 by Wynn, who is also favored to win the 400, is tied for the state freshman record with U.S. Olympic gold medalist English Gardner of Eastern Regional, who ran her 7.04 to finish first at the 2007 Eastern States Championships.
