Emma Keating heads to the Meet of Champions as a major favorite for the pole vault title. She was fourth in this event last winter.
Keating owns the top six vaults of indoor 2023 for New Jersey athletes and has cleared the NJ No. 1 height of 12-6 twice.
The Group 1 state champ out of Pompton Lakes led the field out of Group Championships as one of two athletes with a height of 11-06.
Matching that performance was Group 3 state champion Shreya Sathiyan of Morris Hills who is tied for NJ No. 3 this season off that vault. Emerson Dirk of Toms River East cleaered 11-06 to place second at Eastern States just this week.
