Despite the absence of the fastest quarter miler in the state, this should still be a hot one!!
Perhaps we will see the first sub 56 second time in the state this season.
Freshman phenom Sianni Wynn of Pennsauken, who moved to the top of the state rankings when she ran 56.10 to finish first at the Eastern States Championships, said she will skip this race and instead run the 55 dash, 200, and 4x400.
There are two other runners who have broken 57 this season, senior Brooke'Lyn Drakeford of Piscataway (56.51), and Holy Angels sophomore Gina Certo (56.84).
Drakeford won the 400 hurdles at the Meet of Champions last spring.
Rumson-Fair Haven sophomore Clemmie Lilley is next at 57.20. Lilley qualified in the 400 and the 800 as well as the 4x400, so it remains to be seen which races she will run.
