4x800 Meter Relay Showcase
- State Rankings
- 2022 Winner: Union Catholic Reg. HS 7:57.36
- Meet Record: Kingsway HS 7:47.50 2020
- State Record: Christian Brothers 7:41.53 2012
- 2023 NJ1: Toms River North HS 7:50.87 Millrose Games, Feb 11
The US No. 4 ranked Toms River North 4x800m squad has the two fastest New Jersey times of the season thanks to their 7:50.87 from placing third at Millrose and 7:52.96 just days prior during the STCA Invitational.
While they were third at Millrose, mind you to a US No. 1 Episcopal (PA) and US No. 4 Charminade (NY), they have not lost to another New Jersey squad during their four outings this indoor season.
Their US No. 4 lineup featured Camryn Thomas, Taysaun Wilson, William Brommeland, and Teddy Wilson.
There will be some quality competition out there however. The defending Showcase winners Union Catholic return with a NJ No. 2 US No. 13 time of 7:55.18. Seton Hall Prep, Ridge, Summit have all run under the 8-minute mark this season as well.
Depending how this race goes early on and the fact we're heading to Ocean Breeze the chance at a meet record run at that 7:47.50 by Kingsway HS is high.
