St. Rose junior Joshua Huisman is the only New Jersey high school athlete to throw over 60 feet in the shot put this indoor season with his Monmouth County champs winning 60-10.75, currently US No. 9.
He hit the 60+ club for a third time while winning the Non-Public B State title at 60-00.75 and leading all Group Championship performances.
The top returner from last year's MOCs final is Group 4 State Champ Fabian Gonzalez of Southern Regional, third seed out of Groups with his 57-00 and NJ No. 3 with a season best of 57-04.25 at the end of February.
Nicholas Frattina of Mount Olive HS is fresh off his Group 3 state title and second seed out of groups, his season best is a NJ No. 2 mark of 59-2 which came at the end of December.
Cameren Anderson, Nikolaus Winzer, Jack Small, and more will be looking to make their mark at the shot put cage this Sunday as well.
