REMEMBERING A PAIR OF LEGENDS

Unfortunately, there was some heartbreaking news in 2025 as the NJ XC and T&F Community lost some  legends as Janet Smith-Leet, the greatest XC Runner in NJ history, Mike Pascuzzo, one of the state's top jumpers and an ambasador of the sport, and  Bob Byrnes, a towering presence in this state on several levels, passed away. Mike passed away on March 15, Janet passed away on October 12, and Byrnes passed away on Dec. 18.
