This Week's Nominees:
Seven Garcia, Hackensack HS (New Jersey): Ran a state-leading 47.05 in the 400 at New Balance Nationals Indoor, breaking his PR of 47.29 set in March. The mark ranks #44 nationally and tops a deep field of over 1,000 New Jersey competitors this season.
Ayodele Joa-Griffith, The Lawrenceville School (New Jersey): Clocked 1:54.38 in the 800 at Nike Indoor Nationals, a mark that ranks #28 nationally. Posted the fastest time among New Jersey competitors at the meet.
Evan Yuzon, Glen Rock HS (New Jersey): Put up 57-2 in the shot put at Nike Indoor Nationals, leading all New Jersey throwers at the meet. The #11 junior nationally threw for #43 in the country overall and sits as the top junior in the state.
Achilles Etienne, Manasquan HS (New Jersey): Turned in a 7.46 clocking in the 55 hurdles at Nike Indoor Nationals, ranking #26 nationally. Also ran 6.54 in the 55, leading New Jersey hurdlers at the meet in both events.
Andre Marcus, Hudson Catholic HS (New Jersey): Posted 6.52 in the 55 at Nike Indoor Nationals, topping the field of New Jersey sprinters including state-ranked Achilles Etienne. The time ranks #202 nationally.
