This Week's Nominees:
Elijah McCoy, Union Catholic Reg. HS (New Jersey): Won the 1600 at the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions in 4:08.26, taking down a field of 20 competitors in the state's premier meet.
Evan Yuzon, Glen Rock HS (New Jersey): Captured the shot put title at the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions with a throw of 61-9, beating a field of 30 throwers. The #1 junior in New Jersey in the shot put also competed in the discus, placing 16th with a mark of 155-2.
Ciaran Brosnan, Union Catholic Reg. HS (New Jersey): Clocked 1:50.82 to win the 800 meters at the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions, outlasting 26 other competitors in the two-lap race.
Seven Garcia, Hackensack HS (New Jersey): Posted 46.60 to claim the 400 meters crown at the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions, holding off a field of 22 runners in the one-lap sprint.
Patrick Brown, Neptune HS (New Jersey): Cleared 7-0 to win the high jump at the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions, topping a field of 29 jumpers at the state's biggest meet.
