Accepted Entries For NJSIAA Showcase Events Indoor 2024

The accepted entries for the 2024 Indoor Meet of Champions showcase events have officially been announced. The top 24 performances declared for entry on the MileSplit meet page are invited to compete.

Complete Performance Lists

The 200m, 4x800, long jump, and triple jump are not held during the Sectional and Group Championships however the NJSIAA has held showcases during the Meet of Champions for these events in recent years.

The 200 meter dash returned to the order of events as a showcase in 2015, the 4x800m in 2017, the long jump started in 2019 and finally the triple jump joined in 2020.

The NJSIAA has noted that there is no need to for team admins and coaches of these athletes to confirm with the NJSIAA, if you are on this list you are in. They will run with those in attendance from these lists on March 3rd. There will be no alternates.


Boys 200 Meter Showcase

  • 2023 Winner: Premier Wynn of Pennsauken - 21.75
  • Meet Record: Shamali Whittle of Nottingham - 21.68 (2020)
  • State Record: Mario Heslop - Franklin - 20.90 (2019)

Jaden Marchan, 21.55, is US No. 18 and Malachi James, 21.58, is US No. 20. Unfortunately US No. 7 ranked Ajani Dwyer will be out due to injuryDespite not having Dwyer out there that meet record of 21.68 is still shaking in its spikes.


Girls 200 Meter Showcase

  • 2023 Winner: Sianni Wynn of Pennsauken - 24.48
  • Meet Record: Mariah Fede - Paramus Catholic - 24.34 (2020)
  • State Record: Sydney McLaughlin - Union Catholic - 24.00 (2016)

What a matchup we have here! Heading into this one the defending 200 meter showcase winner Sianni Wynn is US No. 20 and Naylah Jones US No. 25. Meet record of 24.34 could be obliterated. 

Boys 4x800 Meter Showcase

  • 2023 Winners: Chatham HS - 7:54.36
  • Meet Record: Kingsway HS - 7:47.50 (2020)
  • State Record: Christian Brothers Academy - 7:41.53 (2012)

NJ boys have four teams in US top 25 rankings and three will be competing in this showcase! Westfield at US No. 11, Cherokee No. 13, and Colts Neck No. 2! Not entered is Union Catholic who rank US No. 15 with their 7:54.58 just over the weekend at Ocean Breeze Elite.

Top seed Daniel Arana is listed at US No. 34 thanks to his win at Eastern States Championships where he cleared 46-10.5.


Girls Triple Jump Showcase

Sophia Curtis has a great shot at the meet record of 39-06.25 set just last year. Curtis currently ranks US No. 14 off her jump of 39-11 back in December at the Marine Corps Holiday Classic. Ma'Syiah Brawner, who is also the top long jump seed, sits US No. 23 at 39-3 which came in mid-January.
