NJ Future Stars: Natasha Kenny & Joseph Pangallo

Each week we will choose two underclassmen to highlight as up-and-coming future stars of New Jersey cross country!

Natasha Kenny - FR - South Brunswick

Natasha Kenny started off in September with solid finishes in 2 mile freshmen class races, where she won the Thompson 2 Mile in her opener running 12:19 and was second at the Thompson Park Class Meet with a 12:10.

Most recently the up-and-coming freshman saw Varsity action and ran to sixth in the Red Division during GMC Divisional Championships. Her time of 20:17 was the seventh fastest of the entire meet that day including two other divisions.

We will see South Brunswick competing next at the Greater Middlesex Championships on October 26th.

Joseph Pangallo - FR - Hackettstown

Joseph Pangallo has six races recorded already this season, four at 2 miles or below in distance, and he has finished top four in every competition as well as won twice!

Pangallo's wins came during the 3200m freshmen race at the Brett Taylor Invitational where he ran 9:08 as well as the Shore Coaches Invitational 2-mile Freshmen B race where he posted a meet leading time of 11:30.

Most recently he finished fourth in the NJAC Small School Championships on October 15th running 16:44 on the 5K Greystone course layout. Leading his team to a fourth-place scoring finish. That was the fastest freshmen 5K performance of the meet by well over 20 seconds!
