Pennsylvania's Penn Charter showed they are ready for the season with a dominating performance at the Cherokee Challenge. They led the meet merge with 35 points and 11:34.96 top-five average over the 3200m course. Their team's average would rank as the sixth fastest individual performance of the meet!
Penn Charter was led by star freshman Mackenzie Skelly, who set the freshman class record for the meet with her 10:45.27, the top time overall, and the only individual to dip under 11 minutes.
PA had the top two team spots with Conestoga ranking second overall in the merge with 139 points. They were led by senior Alexia Tubbs running 11:13.37, which is the third fastest time of the meet.
