NJXC Week 6 Athlete Of The Week Poll

Congratulations to all these athletes on a great week of running! Both polls close Friday at 12pm. Nominees and write-ups below by Jim Lambert.

Girls Week 5 Winner: Sofia Day received 45% of the votes after her meet leading 18:32 at the South Jersey Open. This star freshman has been leading a strong Mainland Regional squad.
Boys Week 5 Winner: We had a showdown in the boys poll between Andrew Kenny and Nicholas Loffredo, Kenny earned the win with 52% of the total votes. Princeton's Kenny won the Large School race at the Fall Classic with a 16:07 to lead the entire meet.

Girls Week 1 Winner: Liliah Gordon of Northern Burlington who ran 11:42 to run the fastest time at Cherokee. She followed that up in week 2 with a freshman race win at OCP. Gordon brought home 46% of the 10,800 votes cast last week!
Boys Week 1 Winner: Rowan Cassidy of Manalapan led a, at the time unranked, Manalapan squad to win the Thompson Park 2-Miler with a 10:07. Manalapan has now cracked into the top 20 ranked teams and had another big week at OCP. Cassidy brought in 44.7% of the 14,290 votes that were cast!
Girls Week 2 Winner: It was a tight vote race between Nikki Clifford and Abigail Waddington but Clifford brought in 26% of the votes for the win. She ran the fastest time of the day at OCP in Wk 2 at 18:30 and led a pretty strong Cherokee team performance as well.
Boys Week 2 Winner: Jackson Barna received 39% of the votes after he blasted a course record at Ocean County Park with his 14:41! His NJ No. 1 Ridge squad mates led the merge as well.
Girls Week 3 Winner: Cate DeSousa of Red Bank Catholic won the polls with 65% of the votes. She ran 17:29 to smash the course record at the Osprey Invitational at Stockton
Boys Week 3 Winner: Marco Langon of Bridgewater-Raritan brought in 49% of the 10.3k votes last week. He broke the course record at Oak Ridge Park by running 15:09 at the Bernie Magee Class Meet.

Girls Week 4 Winner: Our first repeat winner on the girls side of the polls! Liliah Gordon brought in 51% of the 1K+ votes after her Varsity B win at the Shore Coaches Invite running 19:00!
Boys Week 4 Winner: Our first back to back winner in the poll, Marco Langon brought in 33% of the votes after his Varsity A victory at Shore Coaches running 15:30.
