This Week's Nominees:
Jevon Ledgister, St. Peter's Prep (New Jersey): Clocked a state-leading 21.10 in the 200 at the NJSIAA State Indoor Meet of Champions, breaking his PR of 21.19 set at New Balance Nationals Outdoor last June. Also placed third in the 55 meters with a 6.32, ranking third in the state based on his earlier season best.
Essien Plummer, Neptune HS (New Jersey): Won the 55m hurdles at Eastern States Championships with a state-leading 7.19, a new PR that improved from his previous best of 7.32. Also competed in the 55 meters, finishing seventh with a 6.59.
Keandre Kelly, Union Catholic Reg. HS (New Jersey): Captured the 800 meters at the NJSIAA State Indoor Meet of Champions in a state-leading 1:52.58, taking the victory over a field of 26 athletes.
Elijah McCoy, Union Catholic Reg. HS (New Jersey): Posted a massive PR in the 1600 meters at the NJSIAA State Indoor Meet of Champions, winning in 4:15.79 and improving from his previous best of 4:26.00 set at last May's Union County Championships. The mark moves him to second in New Jersey this season.
Brendan Alef, NV - Demarest HS (New Jersey): Soared to a state-leading 48-0 in the triple jump at Eastern States Championships, breaking his PR of 47-7.5 set earlier this season. Finished second in the long jump with a 22-11.25, though he leads New Jersey in that event based on his earlier season best.
