Girls 4x800m

Union Catholic and Rumson-Fair Haven led the combined heats of the 4x800m with a 9:02.27 and 9:04.48 respectively.
UC already ranks US No. 3 this season with their best of 8:53.48 from Arcadia Invitational in early April and will certainly look to unload something historic on Friday when all 12 qualifiers will compete in the Championship of America race.
Jimmiea King, Peyton Hollis, Sophia Thompson, Paige Sheppard with splits of 2:17.05, 2:14.01, 2:16.53, 2:14.69.
Rumson-Fair Haven moves up to US No. 7 this season with their 9:04.48 and are the second seed heading into the COA on Friday. Splits of 2:15.31, 2:23.04, 2:13.04, 2:13.09.

Union Catholic made it two Championship of America final advancements with this event running 47.07, the ninth fastest of the trial heats. Later in the 4x400m they would make it an amazing three COA qualifications!
Timber Creek qualified for the 4x100m Northeast final with a time of 47.15, the 11th fastest time of the trial heats at Penn Relays. They paired this with a 4x400m advancement to the Championship of America final later that day.
Westfield and Winslow girls also move on to the Northeast final running 48.68 ans 48.96!

Layla Giordano became the first winner for New Jersey since 2004! When the Old Tappan star launched a 167-10 to win by 10 feet one inch over the competition. She was the only American to finish in the top eight.

Jessica Oji has come full circle from last year's injury to win the Penn Relays Shot Put Championship! The Livingston star improved her state leading season best with a 46-4. Oji was second at this meet last year.
Julia Santos of Toms River South finished fourth with a 43-3. She currently ranks NJ No. 2 with a 44-10 from the Lenape Invitational.

Girls Javelin
Zoe Goldberg led three New Jersey athletes with her fourth place mark of 142-11, she threw that on her fifth attempt. Third American overall.
Goldberg is the state leader so far this season with her Woodbury Relays winning mark of 144-6.
Also moving up to NJ No. 2 this season was Isabella Frattura with a 139-11. Her previous season best was a 116-5.

Girls Pole Vault
The top four ranked vaulters in New Jersey took on the Penn Relays on Thursday.
Shreya Sathiyan of Morris Hills led NJ with a fifth place finish clearing 11-9 on a single attempt. Had two advancing clearances before being eliminated at 12-3.25.
Sathiyan currently leads New Jersey vaulters this spring with a 12-3 vault at Morris Hills Relays on April 20th.
Rebecca Hoover was eighth, also at 11-9, clearing on her second attempt. Ella Karolewski 10th at 11-9, a season best, clearing on her third attempt. Hannah Byrd-Leitner 11th at 11-3.

Girls Triple Jump
New Jersey state leader Sophia Curtis finished eighth on Thursday during the Penn Relays triple jump championship.
The Ocean City star cleared 39-11.5, she has a season best of 40-5 (NWI) from a dual meet in early April.
