After another week of track & field action in New Jersey, it's time to vote for the MileSplit New Jersey boys performer of the week.

This Week's Nominees:
Marcus Valenzuela, Chatham HS (New Jersey): Ran a state-leading 4:13.16 in the 1600 at the ASICS Carolina Distance Carnival, winning out of 836 runners. Also clocked 8:55.25 in the 3200, a PR breaking his previous best of 8:56.14 set at the NJSIAA State Indoor Meet of Champions.
Alex Kessler, Cranford HS (New Jersey): Won the javelin at the Union County Championship Relays with a throw of 211-7, setting a new PR and improving from his previous best of 208-10. The #1 junior in the state in the javelin took first out of 47 competitors.
Evan Yuzon, Glen Rock HS (New Jersey): Put up 59-6.5 to win the shot put at the Jack Yockers Bergen County Relays, defeating a field of 117 throwers. Also competed in the discus, placing 6th with a mark of 129-4.
Brendan Alef, NV - Demarest HS (New Jersey): Swept the horizontal jumps at the Jack Yockers Bergen County Relays, winning the long jump with 23-9 and the triple jump with 47-11. Also cleared 6-4 in the high jump for 4th place.
Essien Plummer, Neptune HS (New Jersey): Double winner at the Rahway Rising Stars Invitational #2, clocking 13.88 in the 110m hurdles and 11.10 in the 100 meters. His hurdles time was a new PR, breaking his previous best of 13.95 set at New Balance Nationals Outdoor.
