The first week of action did nothing to move the top 4 teams in the rankings as #1 CBA and #3 Westfield appeared to hold out  their key guys.  #2 West Windsor-Plainsboro No. competed in the Cherokee Challenge without the Rosa Bros (Syracuse visit)  and #4 Don Bosco did not compete.

There was minor  movement from #5- #10, but all of the Pre-season picks are still in the Top Ten.

Both # 1 Hunterdon Central and #2 Hillsborough skipped the traditional Northwest Jersey opener at the Petty Run (DelVal HS). Hillsborough, however, jumped 2 spots from their pre-season #4. Two teams that saw action in different divisions at the Randolph meet, host Randolph and Voorhees, showed some firepower that might portend big things as the season progresses. The only other change of note from last week is previously unranked North Hunterdon moves to the #10 spot. We are hearing very good things about this group of girls. Stay tuned.
