Sianni Wynn Goes 23.60! SJTCA Elite Meet Brings The Heat

The best in South Jersey track and field met at the new Ott Center facility housed on the University of Pennslyvania campus for SJTCA #13, the elite-focused meet in the SJTCA indoor series.

23.60!! Wynn On Another Level

Sianni Wynn of Pennsauken opened up her night with a 6.83 victory in the 55m dash final leading prelims with a 6.91. That is just .02 off her personal best of 6.81 which won Wynn the 2024 Indoor NJSIAA Meet of Champions title and currently ranks her New Jersey No. 3 all-time. 

Wynn then doubled back in the 200m dash, an event she already held the state indoor record for, to destroy her previous best with a U.S. No. 4 time of 23.60! 

She previously set the state record back on December 28th during the SJTCA #7 meet running 23.79 at this same Philadelphia facility.


State Leader! Dumas U.S. No. 3 In 400 Meter

Natalie Dumas of Eastern Regional was second in that state record 200m race with a 24.41, N.J. No. 5. And that was after already running a New Jersey state-leading and U.S. No. 3 time of 54.45 in the 400m dash.

Only eight girls in the U.S. have run sub-55 this season and the next best-ranked performance in New Jersey at this point is 55.65!

Taylor's Triple Win Night

Marquis Taylor of Woodbury HS led the boys' 55m dash final recording a 6.41, moving up to NJ No. 3 this season and dropping .05 off his previous season's best. He led prelims with a 6.46.

He came back in the 400m dash clocking 49.14 for the win and moved up to N.J. No. 4 with that time. 

And he wasn't done there, Taylor also won the 200m dash at 21.89, second Austin Bailey of Paul VI at 21.97. In his third event of the night, it was the only one Taylor didn't hit a season-best in, he currently ranks N.J. No. 4 in the 200m with his 21.82 from late December. 

Athletes Shining On Track & In Field

Atlantic County Tech sophomore Brianna Growalt is a multi-athlete on the rise.

Third in the 55m dash at 7.38, 2nd in the 55m hurdles at 8.51, 15th in the 400m clocking 1:02.16, and 17-09.5 for the win in the long jump! She now ranks N.J. No. 6 in the long jump and N.J. No. 9 in the 55m hurdles as well.

Josiah Williams of Mainland Regional led the triple jump with a mark of 45-08, N.J. No. 5 this season. He was also second in the long jump at 21-06.5, and third in the 55m hurdles with a time of 7.65.

Anthony Parker of Salem won the long jump clearing 22-00.5, just outside the top ten in New Jersey this season. Parker was also second in the 55m hurdle finals running 7.64 for N.J. No. 9.


More Highlights

Junior Egypt Bolan of Lindenwold cleared 5-08 in the high jump to improve her own New Jersey state lead, and moved up to U.S. No. 4! She cleared every attempt up to 5-08 on the first jump. That height of 5-08 matched the state-leading heights from the 2024 and 2023 seasons. Bolan was also eighth in the long jump at 15-10.5.

Jayden DeLeon of Highland Reg cleared 6-04 in the boys' high jump for the win, now tied for N.J. No. 6.

Marcus Hood of Deptford vaulted to 15-06 to win the pole vault and N.J. No. 2 this season. 

Current state-leading girls' vaulter Hannah Byrd-Leitner of Moorestown cleared 12-06 for the second time this season, she last did so on December 14th. She's one of only three New Jersey girls over 12 feet this season.

Matthew Littlehales of Delsea won the 3200m clocking 9:26.75, N.J. No. 4 so far this season. 

The girls' 3200m race was won by A P Schalick senior Jordan Hadfield at 10:56.66, she's only the third New Jersey girl to run under 11 minutes this season and rankings N.J. No. 3 with that performance.

There was a major kick for the win in the boys 1600m race where Ty Blackman of Glassboro ran down the leaders to win at 4:22.73. Brody Bogos of Cherry Hill East second at 4:23.15, Peter Simpson of Haddonfield Memorial 4:25.24, and Jack Tindall of Cherokee 4:25.70 in his return to action.

The girls 1600m run was won by Georgina Chalow of Vineland HS at 5:07.54, N.J. No. 11. 

Dakota Jones of Washington Twp won the 55m hurdles at 8.27, matching her season best which currently ranks her at N.J. No. 4. 

Ryan Sanchez of Deptford HS won the boys 55m hurdles at 7.56, moving the senior up to N.J. No. 6 this season. His previous best was a 7.66 from December.

Riley Austin of Haddonfield Memorial won a tight finish in the 800m run with Hope Edwards of Moorestown. Austin getting the victory at 2:17.24, N.J. No. 7, and Edwards second at 2:17.92, N.J. No. 11.

On the boys' side of the 800m run it was Washington Twp's Hunter Bostwick earning the victory at 1:57.88.

Sophomore Brooklyn Ezekiel of Cherry Hill West hit a mark of 34-08 to win the girls' triple jump.

Ella Karp of Washington Twp won the girls' shot put with a season-best mark of 42-04.5, now N.J. No. 4. One of only four New Jersey girls to throw over 42 feet this season.

New Jersey state leader and U.S. No. 2 ranked Jonathan Harris of Delsea won the boys' shot put at 62-01.75, second place was Anthony Liakhnovich of Hammonton at 61-01. Liaknovich improves to N.J. No. 2. U.S. No. 10.
