Cox Breaks NJ Record, Runs US No. 5 All-Time In Hurdles

Union Catholic's Taylor Cox NJ once again showed everyone why she's the most dominant high school hurdler in the country, breaking her own state record and delivering a stunning victory in the 60-meter hurdles at the prestigious Virginia Showcase on Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.

Cox clocked a sizzling 8.10, which places her tied for No. 5 in U.S. high school history, and it broke her own NJ record of 8.11, which she ran when she won the New Balance National Championship last March in Boston.

With her 8.10 time, Cox now owns the fastest time in the country this year, further solidifying her status as the best high hurdler in the nation.

The University of Georgia-bound Cox, who is also won the New Balance National Championship last June in the 100 hurdles at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, now her sights set on the national record of 8.02 that was set by Tonea Marshall of Arlington Seguin in Arlington,  Texas when she finished first at the 2016 New Balance National Championships.
