NJSIAA Sectional Championships Info And Coverage Indoor 2022

The 2022 NJSIAA Indoor Track and Field Sectional Championships are set to go off Friday afternoon. Sparking a four week long tournament to declare state champions and crown the very best in New Jersey.

For those concerned we do have confirmation the Toms River Bubble (directions) is in working order and ready for the show.

Spectators will be allowed to attend but do note all NJSIAA event ticket sales will be online and scanned through your phone at the door. We are told there will be a QR code to scan and buy at the door if you do not buy in advance.

NJ MileSplit will also be streaming the track events LIVE at every meet in addition to on-demand replays going to the meet pages. We'll have recorded videos of select field events when possible.

We are working with a limited staff at the moment, photo albums may only be posted for certain Sectional meets depending on availability.

Sectional Order of Events

How To Advance To Groups / Awards

An athlete / relay must qualify by placing top six in an event. All ties for sixth place will advance to the Group Championships.

Note that the NJSIAA has recently announced only the top three finishers will receive medals at Sectionals.

Each Sectional's overall championship winning team will receive a trophy and 35 certificates.

Teams earn points toward the standings by placing top six in events.

(1st - 10 pts / 2nd - 8 pts / 3rd - 6 pts / 4th - 4 pts / 5th - 2 pts / 6th - 1pt)
