Katie Hamilton closed out the 2020 indoor season with a Meet of Champions victory, her Group 4 State Championship run of 4:56.05 leads all 1600m performances into 2021.
When you throw mile conversions into the mix Camryn Wennersten at 4:49.91c, Charlotte Bednar 4:51.38c, and Emma McGill 4:55.68c lead as the top three overall among returners. All three of those times were performed at the exciting NYRR Millrose Games.
Wennersten and Miranda Lorsbach, running for Garden State TC, have both already clocked impressive 1600m performances in 2021. Wennersten ran a 4:54.79 en route in the mile and Lorsbach 5:01.21 at the VA Showcase earlier in January.
