Congratulations to all the team champions this past weekend, 13 to be exact. Here is a quick look at every championship. A link to the full list of results specific to that team linked with each school below as well.

Group 1


Willingboro Boys

Team Performance Summary

Willingboro won its first state title since 2003 with a 91-48 victory over Clayton. It's the 13th state title for Willingboro, the fourth most in boys state history. Willingboro has now won a state title in every Group (Groups 1,3,4 outdoors) and Group 2 indoors). It's probably the only team in state history that has accomplsihed that feat. 


Paulsboro Girls

Team Performance Summary

Paulsboro captured its first title since 2004 and second overall with a 67-47 victory over Shabazz.

Delsea Boys

Team Performance Summary

Delsea, the State Group 3 champ last year, edged Haddonfield 56-55 for its second state title in a row and second overall. Delsea picked a clutch victory in the 4x100 and Damir Lomax won a tiebreaker in the long jump to earn second place, which was pivotal in the victory, and ran on the winning 4x100. Delseaa also picked up a victory from Jake Nwosu in the discus, a 2-3 from Nico and Marco Morales in the pole vault, a third from Kevin Gilliano in the shot, and fourth-place finishes from Colin Kane (3,200), and Ryan Jillard (PV). 

 Rumson-Fair Haven Girls

Team Performance Summary

Rumson put an exclamation point on its first outright title ever by winning the 4x400. Rumson, which outscored Haddonfield, 60-39, won its only other state title came in 2008 when it shared the championship with Ewing. Lily Orr was second in the 100 and 400, and anchored the winning 4x400 for Rumson..

Deptford Boys

Team Performance Summary

Deptford won the meet-concluding 4x400 relay to rally past Hopewell Valley to win its first state title ever. Naseem Smith repeated as champion in the 110 hurdles for Deptford by running a PR and NJ#3 13.98.  


Winslow Girls

Team Performance Summary

Winslow kept the longest winning streak in the state rolliing by outscoring Ramapo 72-52 to win its seventh straight title and eighth overall. Winslow's winning streak is the longest for any public school girls team, and is tied for the second longest in state history. Only Notre Dame ( 1993-2000) had a longer streak with eight in a row.

Franklin Township Boys

Team Performance Summary

Franklin edged defending champion Princeton, 44-43, for it second title in three years and its third overall. Mario Heslop won the 100, 200, and 400 for Franklin


Millville & Rancocas Valley Girls

Millville Team Performance Summary

Rancocas Valley Team Performance Summary

Millville and Rancocas Valley each scored 54 points to earn a share of the championship, the first state title for both teams. At the SJ sectionals, Millville edged Rancocas Valley by one point!

Christian Brothers Academy Boys

Team Performance Summary

Christian Brothers Academy won its fourth straight title to extend its state record to 23 titles overall with a 131-90 victory over Union Catholic. CBA has now 15 of the last 16 state titles in the last four years (XC/indoors/outdoors combined), and has now captured a total of 105 state titles in all three seasons.
CBA picked up two wins from Tim McInerney (1,600/800), Chris Arias won the javelin, Eros Bottino finished first in the discus, and Liam O'Hara won the 400 hurdles. 

Union Catholic Girls

Team Performance Summary

Union Catholic piled up a staggering meet record total of 179 points to win its fifth straight state title. UC won seven of the 18 events, including all three relays.
For UC, Leena Morant won her third straight 800 title and ran on the winning 4x400. Sydney Tucker won the 100 and anchored the first-place 4x100. Jerika Lufrano won the 3,200, and Alexandra Kwasnik captured the high jump.

Mater Dei Prep Boys

Team Performance Summary

Mater Dei won its third straight title and 10th overall, which tied for the eight most state titles among boys teams. Mater Dei outscored Holy Spirit, 124-83


Morris Catholic Girls

Team Performance Summary

Morris Catholic captured its third straight and seventh overall, 122-60 over St. Dominic Academy. Kate McAndrew won three individual events, they won the 4x1 and 4x4, and Danielle Mills took home two golds and a third place medal in the throws.
