The qualifying requirements for the Meet of Champions this season were made a little tougher but that didn't stop some talented freshmen from making it to the big show. Here is a look at the freshmen who qualified for the Meet of Champions this Saturday in individual events, there are 34 in total.

Freshmen Qualifiers for the Meet of Champions
The highest seeded freshmen is Lauren Princz of Egg Harbor Twp who led the entire Groups weekend with her 24.00, though it was wind aided (+2.3). She also comes into the 100m dash seeded fourth with a 12.03. That 200m field is loaded with talent and should be a great race to watch.
Alianna Eucker of Bergen County Tech threw 137-10 NJ#4 in the javelin last weekend to win the Group 4 state title. That's the second seed coming in only behind Oakcrest junior Brielle Smith's 139-06 out of Group 2.
Gabrielle Davis of Franklin Twp had a great run int he 400m hurdles last weekend running 1:01.81 for NJ#5. Carly Tarentino of A.L. Johnson cleared 5-04 and is tied among the seven seeds, the tenth best height of the season for NJ. Jade Pope of Pennsauken leads five freshmen qualifiers in the 400m with her 17 seed 56.96. Amirah Sharpe of Paulsboro leads five frosh in the 800m as well seeded 13th at 2:15.05.
Rachel Lavigne of Toms River East broke into the top 20 seeds with her 37-06.75 at Groups.
Also a shout out to Abigail Antognoli of St. Rose who qualified for three events out of the Non-Public B Championships, she is the 11th seed in the 1600m with her impressive 4:59.89.
The boys had just three qualifying performances, TerMeir Hill of Clayton qualified in two events, 44-00.5 in the triple jump and 21-01.75 in the long jump. Matias Cortes of Eastern Christian is listed at 10-06 in the pole vault.
