BOYS - The Westfield boys opened with a strong distance medley relay running 10:48.00 NJ#1 to win the Metuchen Relays. As a school they own the meet record for that event with their 10:31.3 from 2011. They also own the state lead in the 4x800 meter with their winning performance of 8:07.84 NJ#1

Also from that meet Fahd Nasser of McNair Academic won the rare high school 5K run with a 15:57.96 NJ#1, teammate Younass Barkouch right behind 16:04.44. In the 1600 meter Arthur Dzieniszewski of Old Bridge had a solid early season run of 4:33.82 NJ#1

For the 4x1600 meter, the weekend's early riser's event,  Montgomery now leads the state winning the Raider Relays with a time of 19:00.96 NJ#1


GIRLS - Shelby Piccinic of Colonia set the meet record for the 1600 meter run at the Metuchen Relays with her state leading 5:16.51. Also at this meet Taylor Roncin of Toms River South posted a 19:19.56 to win the 5K. 

North Hunterdon won both the 4x800 and distance medley relay at the Raider Relays with state leading times of 9:41.53 and 12:55.38. Also opening at that meet, Ridge took the 4x1600 meter win with a time of 22:04.12.
