OLYMPIC CONFERENCE
The season is still young but this meet brought us five girls state leading performances and a US#1 on the leaderboard.
Freshman Tierra Hooker of Timber Creek cleared the 5-6 NJ#1 US#6 high jump bar in her high school debut, not only does that lead the state through the first week of the season but it also ties last year's best height by season's end. Keep an eye out of Tierra Hooker!
In the relays the Winslow Twp and Lenape girls dominated. Winslow ran to NJ#1 times in both the shuttle hurdle at 34.65 and the 4x200 meter with a great early season 1:44.66 US#11. Lenape's success came with the sprint medley at 4:27.08 US#7 and distance medley 12:45.06 US#1 both NJ#1 times.
For the boys Matthew Rizzi cleared the 6-4 high jump bar to rank NJ#2 US#11, a four inch indoor personal record for him.
