Group 1

Kellert | Samantha Green is coming off a great Bergen County run and a dominant Sectional win. She's geared up for her first State Group title.

Stranieri | Corina Vidal of Henry Hudson has the top time of the Group at Holmdel and his very familiar with the course, but I'll take Samantha Green of Park Ridge for the win.

Group 2

Kellert | Quite a few talented individuals lining up here. Amanda Stone and Rachel Kenny have been trading head to head matchups all season. Despite the awesome run by Stone at Thompson Park's Sectional this past weekend I give Kenny the course advantage at Holmdel.

Montferrat | Will be a very close race! Stone has some nice momentum going.

Stranieri | Total toss-up. There's about 6+ different girls (Kenny, Stone, Coppolino, Wagner, Cassawell, Vanriele, Goria) who could win this. Amanda Stone of Monmouth is on a hot streak after a big win last week, and she's very familiar with the course, so I'll pick her, but it's mystery as to who will win.

Group 3

Kellert | My goodness. Whatever you do Saturday don't miss this race. So many names to list on this start line but the big three are Alyssa Aldridge, Alexa Westley, and Monica Hebner. Westley's season so far, especially the later half has been fire. Hebner has been moving up all-time course lists like it's her job. Aldridge, the two-time defending Meet of Champions winner, has fought her way back from a summer injury to win the three races she's competed thus far. Despite the tough road this fall I've got to give the nod to the defending champ. There will be a race coming out of the woods with these three in sight of each other.

Montferrat | Can't wait for this one, Hebner takes it in a mild shocker.

Stranieri | I'm not picking against Alyssa Aldridge (Mainland), but this race should be crazy. I believe the fastest time of the day will come from this one. Westly and Hebner have been on fire this year, and you can't count out Tricomy, Brand, and Megerle. Should be a great race.

Group 4

Kellert | Abby Loveys has been running really strong since day one of this season and I don't see that momentum slowing down this week.

Montferrat | Impressive year to date for Abby Loveys. Turner and DiMarcello give her a run for the money.

Stranieri | Abbey Loveys (Randolph) and Elena DiMarcello (North Hunterdon) will duke it out. They have both been on a roll all year. Could go either way, but since I have to pick, I'll take Loveys.

NPA

Kellert Both Jerika Lufrano and Nicole Vanasse have taken their competition level to new heights this season. Either or could win this one but I'm going with Vanasse.

NPB

Kellert | Can a Villa Walsh athlete win this for the third year in a row?

Stranieri | Total toss-up. Several different girls could win this.
