Morris County Boys - Girls Relay Championship

3. TIME: 4:30pm

4.  GATE FEES: $5.00 Adults & Students $2.00 -

5. FEE: $21.00/relay (field & running)

6. MINIMUM ENTRY: $50.00/team/school (boys + girls = $100.00/school)

7. SEEDING MEETING: None..

8. SEEDS:    2023- FAT SEEDS  ARE REQUIRED 

9 . LIMITATIONS: NO "B" Teams

RUNNING EVENT RELAY

FIELD EVENT RELAYS

When entering the Field Event Relays (3 person) you must select 3 names from your roster. The names are used to total your invoice. We will preprint labels for field events.

When completing your running relays you may enter 8 names and scratch down to 4 at the meet.  EVERYTHING IS PRESEEDED THERE WILL BE NO CARDS.

When you fill in the athletes for each event you are creating your TEAM ROSTER. Make sure I have all the names competing that day.

11. FIELD EVENTS: The PV & HJ will be run in continuous flights. The SP, D, LJ, TJ, & J will be run as OPEN PITS.

12. LJ/TJ/PV/JAV  NFHS Rule 6-2-6 has been amended to prohibit athletes from running                                    backwards or in the  opposite direction (non-legal direction) during warm-ups on  horizontal jumps, pole vault and javelin runways.

13. STARTING HEIGHTS: B-PV: 9-0,  10-0, + 6 ", 11-6, etc. G-PV: 7-0, 7-6, 8-0, 8-6, etc.

                                           B-HJ: 5-0, 5-3, 5-6, 5-8, etc. G-HJ: 4-0, 4-3, 4-6, 4-8, etc.

14. HJ & PV TIE BREAKER: Total number of misses up to the last height cleared.



All three athletes must clear a height to score. If an athlete fails to clear a height, the remaining jumpers can no longer compete in that event.

15. LJ-TJ-SP-D-J TIE BREAKER: Second best attempt of the three competitors is added together.

20. DIVISIONS: A small schools champion will be selected using the common scoring system. The highest scoring Division II team will receive a plaque.

a. Division I: All Group III  IV schools, and Non Public A

b. Division II: All Group I, II, and Non Public B
