The 2nd day of the 2011 NJSIAA Group Championships starts in less than an hour with the Non-Public Groups followed by Groups 3 and 2. The NJRunners team is back at "The Bubble" today to bring you coverage of the meet.
Some reflections from the Groups 1 & 4 meet last night
* Randolph's Joelle Amaral was in my mind the Most Valuable Runner from last night. With her double win in the 1600m and 800m. The 1600 meter win was a powerful 9+ second win over teammate sam Jones. The 800 . (46) Winslow Twp. (44)win was off of a late charge and a lean at the line. 2 very different races from the Washington bound Amaral. After missing virtually all of the XC season with a stress facture, she has rebounded nicely and is having one helluva Indoor season.

** Ajee Wilson wins G2 1600m (5:01.25) after taking the opening 400m (55.91)
Ajee Wilson just added the 800m to her double today, winning in 2:17.17
* Megan Venables rips #4 US 3200m with 10:38.11 win in Gr. 2
**In her 1st race back after suffering a broken leg while playing soccer during the fall, Sparta soph, Claudia DiSomma will run the opening leg on the 4x400m Relay.
