
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Blair Bartlett of Lawrenceville was honored as the High School Girls' Athlete of the Meet Award for Individual Events for the second straight year at Saturday's 130th Penn Relays at hisotric Franklin Field.
Bartlett is jus the third girl to ever win this award two years in a row!
Bartlett pulled off one of the most stunning and jaw-dropping performances in U.S. high school history on Friday!
In a showdown between national champs and NJ all-time greats, Bartlett oudueled Leah Starkey of Ocean Township when she grabbed the lead with 200 to go before charging across the line first for the second straight year, stopping the clock at a mind-boggling 9:04.92!!!!
Her time is No. 4 in U.S. history, is the fastest time ever run by a junior in U.S. history, and it broke Bartlett's own meet and NJ record of 9:13.60 that she ran here last year.
