Gloucester County IT Sweeps SJ Tech Championships

The South Jersey Vo-Tech Championships competed at Burlington County Tech (Medford) this past Thursday afternoon. After the dust settled the boys and girls of the Gloucester County Institute of Technology (GCIT) had earned both team titles!

The boys' race was won individually by senior Julian Rich of Camden V/T (Sicklerville) clocking 16:46, with a massive lead on the field.

Crossing the line in second with a time of 17:38 was senior Connor Auge, who started off the eventual winning scoring sheet for GCIT. His squad finished their top four by the eighth position and closed their scoring five by 13th place!

With an average of 18:19 and top five split of 1:14, GCIT scored 32 points to Burlington Tech (Medford)'s 53 to defeat them on their home turf. A close third as a team was Camden Tech (Sicklerville) with 63 points.

Behind Auge's second-place finish his teammates placed as follows: sophomore Duke Snyder-Shellito sixth at 18:21, senior Gavin Kravchuck seventh 18:23, senior Owen DeLuca eighth 18:26, and their final scorer Liam Robles 13th at 18:52. 

Boys Top 10 Individuals


The girls' championship was won individually by Salem County Vo-Tech senior Sarah Seiden with a time of 22:25, which was well over 40 seconds ahead of the field!

GCIT won the team title with a score of 31 to 54 over Atlantic County Tech, third was Camden Tech (Sicklerville) with 72.

Sophomore Natalie Pandolfo kicked off the championship-clinching performance with a second-place finish of 23:09. Freshman Jordan Moczydlowski was fourth at 23:20, Keira Petro eighth 24:05, Sydney Huang 10th 24:11, and closing out their scoring-five was Brooklynn Greenwood in 11th at 24:44.

They averaged 23:53 with a top-five split of 1:35.
