The charge was led by
Joe Barrett's winning time of 15:41. This is the sixth time he's run sub-16 here, and he has a course PR of 15:21 from his 2023 Non-Public A State Championships win which is tied for 10th all-time at Holmdel individually.

From there the rest of the top five finishers all rolled through 16:14 or less including seniors Alex Mastroly and Ryan Schmitt, sophomore Gavin Schmitt, and junior Luke Hnatt. Their displacers included sixth place Ryan Collins at 16:34 and 11th place Thomas Field at 17:06.

Last fall we saw CBA run three of the top four all-time single race averages at Holmdel including breaking their course record with a 15:51.8 to win Non-Public A State Championships. How low could this talented squad trim that down to?

During the Novice 2 Mile race, CBA also saw four freshmen and one sophomore run under 12:30, while securing the top nine finishing positions.
