Graham Houghton of Pingry School and Josh Huisman of St. Rose came up with big wins in the boys portion of the meet at Saturday's 69th Bishop Loughlin Games at Ocean Breeze.

The girls competition will be held on Sunday.

Houghton, a junior, ran a personal best and NJ No. 1 time of 6.43 to win the 55 dash, breaking his previous PR of 6.45 that he ran to place second at the Eastern States Championships last year. He also placed second in the long jump with a mark of 21-4.75.

The University of Michigan-bound Huisman, the Meet of Champions winner in the shot put last indoors and outdoors, opened his season by winning the shot with a NJ No. 1 / US No. 3 throw of 60-11.50. Huisman owns a PR of 64-7.75, which he unloaded to win the M of C title last June.
