Delbarton features the best 1-2 punch in the state in twins Brian Boler and Collin Boler, but it was the back of their pack that proved to be the difference when the Green Wave edged Chatham on a sixth-runner tiebreaker in the boys Large School race at the NJAC Championships on Tuesday at Greystone Park in Morris Plains.

The Boler's led the frontal assault for No. 15 ranked Delbarton by finishing 1-2 with Collin first in 15:32 and Brian second in 15:41, and the rest of the Green Wave pack went 8-19-26 for a total of 56 points. Chatham, ranked No. 10 in the state, countered with a 3-9-13-14-17 to also finish with 56.

So it went to a sixth-runner tiebreaker to determine the winner, and Delbarton sophomore Sean Dooley, Delbarton's No. 6 man, clinched the victory for his team by placing 30th in 17:42, 50 spots ahead of Chatham's No. 6  runner.
