On Saturday at the Central Group 4 Sectional Championships to the cheers of the crowd Hillsborough junior Brian O'Sullivan cleared 16-00.25 in the pole vault. Effectively moving up to NJ No. 6 all-time indoors.
O'Sullivan now ranks tied for US No. 16 on the season and holds the state lead by over half a foot. He entered the meet with a season best of 15-08.
New Jersey vaulting has been gaining momentum these past few years. Just look at the all-time 16 feet list and you'll see three boys from seasons in the 2020s.
