NJSIAA Meet of Champions winner Marco Langon ran to second place at 15:09.6 just off the previous meet record of 15:09 by Donn Cabral in 2007. Gavin Sherry, the winner from Connecticut, set a new meet record with his 15:05.8. Shane Brosnan ran to fifth place clocking 15:24.9 also advancing to Eastbay Nationals in Sand Diego, CA on December 11th.
While only the top ten advance we had two other New Jersey athletes also crack the top 20 in the boys championship, Seth Clevenger of Haddonfield Memorial, 12th at 15:42.3 and Colin Riley of Jonathan Dayton, 14th at 15:44.6. Shining bright for the small schools Clevenger won the Group 2 state title and Riley was a Group 1 state champion this year.
