The NJSIAA State Sectional Championships will take place this weekend June 4th and 5th as athletes around New Jersey look to advance to the Group Championships.
Below we have gathered information about this weekend's events. Keep an eye out the coming weeks for state meet coverage, recaps, previews, and more!
Best of luck to all the athletes and coaches as they head to the eight Sectional sites looking to continue their spring season further into June.
Friday, June 4th, Starts 2:30pm*
*Washington Twp location starts at 3:30pm*
Saturday, June 5th, Starts 9:30am
Spectator attendance is a site by site decision, please see the position held by each school district through their respective sites before attending.
How to Advance
The top six finishers in each event will advance to the Group Championships.
Awards
The NJSIAA has confirmed through an email release that only the top three athletes will be awarded medals at the Sectional level. This was originally listed as top six in regulations.
Trophies will be awarded to each Sectional Team Champion plus 35 certificates.
Scoring
Athletes in each event will be scored from first to sixth using the 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 scoring format.
Order of Events
The NJSIAA has confirmed no starting blocks at the Sectional meets.

Note we will not be live streaming the Sectional Championships. We will have live streams return at the Franklin Twp and Pennsauken Group locations June 11th and 12th as well as recorded race videos at the Non-Public Group site. We'll also have a live stream from the NJSIAA Meet of Champions June 19th.
