Old Bridge senior Nicholas Medeiros was just .30 of a second away, 1:52.76, from an indoor Meet of Champions title last winter taking second to the now graduated Gabriel Moronta of Pleasantville who was timed at 1:52.46.
Medeiros put together an unofficial 1:51.9 outdoor time trial back in July giving us a look at what could have been if the spring season wasn't taken away from all of us. The Georgetown commit seems ready to have a big year whether he next chance comes indoor or outdoors.
The top four returning boys performances were all recorded during that Meet of Champions at Ocean Breeze. Jalen Ridgeway of Toms River North was fifth with a 1:53.72, Henry Wood on Pingry 1:56.68 in 10th, and Bryce Tucker of Pennsauken 1:56.75 in 11th.
