Watch Jailya Ash of Eastern Regional win the 2020 Meet of Champions running 8.03.
Last year Jailya Ash of Eastern Regional entered the season as the defending Meet of Champions 55m dash champion; she switched up events and went on to win the 55m hurdles in 2020 clocking the eighth fastest time in meet history with 8.03 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Ash has committed to study and run at the University of Connecticut next year.

Three girls, including Ash, return to run in 2021 from that MOCs final. Kirstyn Schechter of Hillsborough ran to third with a PR of 8.19 and ranks second among all New Jersey returners. Bryanna Craig was seventh as a sophomore last year but she won't be at Millville this time round, the young multi-event star moved to Texas over the summer.
