The North Jersey Championships ran at Garret Mountain on Saturday featuring three pods trying to advance to the Finale on November 7th. This article takes all those pods and merges them together to rescore.
Nathan Armstrong of Pompton Lakes led the boys day individually with a 16:21 to win Pod 1, only seven boys ran under 17 minutes on Saturday. The boys team race in the merge was won by Ridgewood with 69 points ahead of Clifton at 104, in total there were 26 teams who scored.
On the girls side Mia Dubac of Clifton ran 19:02 to lead the meet, this won Pod 2 by 52 seconds. The merge was a little closer with freshman Christina Allen of River Dell second overall at 19:03, Allen had won the Pod 1 race.
Team wise in the girls merge Ridgewood dominated, much like their race, with 25 points splitting just eight seconds between their top five and averaging 20:07. Immaculate Heart Academy ranked second with 84 points and 26 points scored in total.
