Quick Notes

-Last year's winner Sebastien Reed returns and as of now it looks like he is the prime candidate to repeat for the Group 1 title. The Pitman star won by 22 seconds last year and that included leaving behind some talented names like the now graduated Jared Cooper and Cameron Janovic. 

-Reed is the only returning Group 1 Sectional winner, the others graduated so expect some new names! 

-The next best returner from that championship race is Pt. Pleasant Beach's Robert Hannon who had himself a quality track season ranking third in the Group 1 3200m with a PR time of 9:34.51. 

-Reed, with a time of 16:18, is the only one from this returning group to break into 16 minutes at Holmdel Park. With Hannon, Dan Qyshinski of Pennsville, and Christian Cadmus of New Providence knocking on the door in the low 17s. 

-The defending team champs of Haddon Township lost three seniors from their winning squad, two in the top five. But they return their #1 in Jake Aylmer and have a young potential top three with a sophomore and junior returning in Luke Overbeck, and Matt Conway. 

-Hasbrouck Heights returns six of their top seven losing their lead finisher Jeremy Bailey. With a young squad who finished second at last year's Group 1 race look out for this returning experience to make some noise.
