Charlotte Bednar emerged as one of the best in the state during her freshman cross country season. She won four meets to start her high school career including the Jerry Hart Invite, a Mercer County Championship, NJISAA Prep State Championship, and Mid-Atlantic Prep League Championship title. If that wasn't enough to get her name in the headlines she finished fourth at Nike Cross Northeast Regionals and then went on to run 12th at Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Oregon to end her season. She was the first top 12 finisher for New Jersey at NXN since Sarah DiSanza of High Point Regional finished 10th in 2012.
