Amaya Chadwick of Union Catholic, the state's top returning hurdler, is back on the track after missing most of the indoor season with a hamtring injury.

The Purdue-bound Chadwick, second in the 55 hurdles and second in the 100 hurdles at the Meet of Champions as a junior in 2017, made her long awaited comeback this past Monday when she ran a 14.0 in the 100 hurdles in a dual meet. She followed that up on Saturday with a 14.0 split to leadoff UC's NJ #2 1:02.74 at the 30th Blue Devil Classic in Westfield.

Chadwick, who had been out since hurting her hammy at the Union County Indoor Championships on Jan. 27, has won several county and state titles in the sprints and hurdles in her great career. But she said she's fueled this season by the desire to win her first Meet of Champions title.

Listen to Chadwick, who owns PR's of 13.86 in the 100 hurdles, 11.83 in the 100, and 24.82 in the 200, talk about her comeback and her goals in the video above.
