Out of the Boys Varsity D race on Saturday at the Shore Coaches Invitational senior Chris Romero of Voorhees posted the fastest time of the day at 15:56. He was a second ahead of the previous meet leader Devin Hart who won the earlier Varsity E with his 15:57. Romero hit the mile at 15:16 and passed the two mile around 10:25 before his eventual 15:56 finish. This was his second career sub-16 run at Holmdel, the last time back in 2015 when he placed 8th as a sophomore running 15:57 at the Meet of Champions.
The team race in Varsity D was won by Hopewell Valley with 46 points over Voorhees' 85 total and they were led by Teddy Meredith who finished second at 16:17. Hopewell Valley would finish second overall in the meet merge behind Kingsway who won the Varsity B race.
