These rankings take last year's stats, remove seniors, and scores them from 50 points for NJ#1 to 1 point for NJ#50. This pre-season version does not include the 4x400 meter, but does include all of the other individual NJSIAA state meet championship events minus the 200 meter showcase. If an athlete did not have a graduation year they were not included.
In the past we only included the top 20 in each event, we bumped that up to 50 to give deeply talented teams more credit for their depth. The previous versions only awarded teams with absolute studs on them. These are not subjective, they are not perfect, but they are a fun way to see who controls the rankings database as a whole.
