Holmdel Sunday Long Run 2011

The Sunday Long Run kicked off its 2011 season this morning, July 10th at Holmdel HS. NIKE was there to help get things started with some giveaways and shoe samples AND we The Running Company (Westfield, Princeton, Morristown, Ridgewood, Summit NJ locations) was there to get you in the right shoes with 15% discounts. they will be back in 2 weeks(Remember that Summer is 40% of the XC season so you need good shoes. Save money and get your shoes on 7/24 at the Long Run!)
With a turn out of about 100 athletes from numerous high schools the runs ranged from 30 minutes to 60+. Bennett Camp brought drinks and and Coach McCafferty brought the best watermelon you've ever had. The runs started at about 8:30 with everyone reday to go. The various groups ran a lot of different routes to keep things fun and interesting.
This event is a great way to get in a long run over a varied terrain, including the trails of hallowed Holmdel Park. These runs have already become become a cool tradition.
The next run will be Sunday 7/17, same time, same place!
