You are invited to the Fifth Annual Essex County Track Coaches Frosh/Soph Invitational/ Championship which will be held on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026. The meet will be contested at the 8 lane, Shabazz, High School, Newark, NJ.
The meet will feature Fully Automatic Timing!
Order of running events: SEQUENCE: Frosh Boys, Soph Boys, Frosh Girls, Soph Girls

All Shot and Javelin will be three attempts NO FINALS! NO Discus!!!
Javelin Boys Frosh/SophFollowed by the Girls Javelin Frosh/Soph
Shot Put Girls Frosh/SophFollowed by the Boys Shot Put
Girls Long Jumpfollowed by the Boys
Boys Triple Jumpfollowed by Girls
Long and Triple Jump will be 1 hour open pit. 3 Jumps
High Jump and Pole Vault opening heights will be determined by the officials based on the entries, and how low the standards can be set. Starting with the Girls Frosh/Soph High Jump followed by the Boys Frosh/Soph High Jump.
The meet is open to all scholastic teams that are members of the National Federation of Schools included within New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut as these states share a reciprocal sanction agreement. The rules and by laws of the N.J.S.I.A.A. as well as the Nation Federation will govern this meet .
Athletes must represent their High School. No Club Teams, or Unattached athletes are permitted entry into the meet.

Entry Fee: Minimum Entry $100/ Per Gender/ Per school - that means a total of the amounts for the entries as listed below:
Individual Entry Fee: $8.00 per athlete/per event
Relay Entry Fee: $24.00 per relay
Unlimited Entry per event, there is a Freshman and Sophomore divisions for both Girls and Boys in all events.
Running Events: 100, 200,400,800,1600,3200,100/110 hurdles, 400 hurdles 4x400 Relay
Field Events: Shot Put, Javelin, High Jump Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault.
THERE WILL BE A FIRST AND SECOND PLACE TEAM PLAQUE AWARDED IN BOTH DIVISIONS FOR BOTH GIRLS AND BOYS. Scoring will be as follows in all Varsity events 10-8-6-4-2-1 MEDALS TO THE TOP SIX IN EACH EVENT.
