Like in years past, this is a NFHS Sanctioned meet. No unattached or clubs are allowed. They can compete in the evening meet.

All entries must have seed times. Since we are limited in time, we will also have limited room for novice entries - especially in the distance events.

Garden State HS Invite- 2026 Final Instructions Email

Here are your final instructions:

Hi coaches,

Were very excited to welcome you to the 2026 Garden State Invitational.

We have tried to accommodate as many requested changes as possible, but as you can imagine, this can be very challenging in the final days of a bigger meet. These will be published Thursday afternoon on MS and OBs website.

1- Meet start. The meet starts at 1:00pm. Doors open at 12:30pm. Here is the final meet schedule with field event instructions. We recognize this gives the first few heats of the girls 1600m very little turn-around time between walking in and checking in. 

2- Bibs & Credentials.  Upon arrival, pick up your personalized bibs and credentials at the awards table.  This will be across from the snack bar in the hallway.  For athletes/teams that missed the deadline, we will have blank bibs for them to write their last name.

3- Payment.  This table is also where you submit payment (checks to "Garden State Track Club") if you haven't already submitted it. This should include all entries submitted on MS - including scratches, etc.

4- Apparel.  There will also be meet apparel (hoodies, shirts, etc) sold in that same area as well.

5- Warm ups. This will be allowed on the track until 12:45pm and downstairs the entire meet.

6- Check-in.  In the field events, please check-in at the event.  For the running events, please check-in at the paddock area next to the shot put cages when your event is called. You must enter this area from the downstairs warm-up area. 

This is a big meet, and we run a tight ship.  Please be sure athletes are in the right places at the right times.

7- Awards.  Shortly after the conclusion of every event, the top 6 athletes and top 3 relays (top 5 in 4x400) may pick up their medals at the medal table.  Also, the winning relay in each relay wins four meet batons.

8- Blocks.  Blocks will be allowed in the Invite 55m (top 24 seeds) trials and finals, 55HH Invite (top 24 seeds) Trials and Final, and the fastest b/g section of the 200m.

9- Scratches.  Please report scratches during the check-in process.

10- Admission: $10 adults/$5 youth spectators. Cash, Zelle, or Venmo accepted.

11- Meet pictures and videos.  This will be posted on NJ Milesplit within 48 hours of the event at no cost.

12- Heat sheets and performance list. This will be posted on Milesplit and OB Live Results later Thursday afternoon.

13- Heats slow to fast. As emailed earlier, events will go slower heats to fast. We will call events up in groups to minimize the waiting time in clerking.
