This meet will be pre-seeded and we will not use cards for the RUNNING EVENTS. PLEASE enter an accurate seed time for each relay you enter and the ATHLETES you expect to run on the relay.
Labels will be preprinted for FIELD EVENTS and then affixed to cards. In order for your field athlete to have a label, YOU MUST ENTER HIM/HER IN THE EVENT.
When you fill in the athletes for each event you are creating your TEAM ROSTER. Make sure to enter ALL the names of athletes competing at the MORRIS HILLS RELAYS.
When entering the Field Event (3 PERSON) Relays you must select 3 names from your roster. The names are used to total your invoice. When completing your running relays I will need (4) names for each running event, you may select up to 8 names. When you come to the meet enter any (4) runners from your team roster.
Long Jump Boys Open Pit 9 a.m. 11:30 a.m. followed by Girls Open-Pit 12:00 p.m.2:30 p.m.
Triple Jump - Girls open pit 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. followed by Boys Open-Pit 12:00 p.m.2:30 p.m.
Javelin Boys Open pit 9 a.m. 11:30 a.m. followed by Girls Open-Pit 11:45 a.m. 2:30 p.m.
Shot Put Upper circle Boys 9:00 a.m. Upper circle Girls upon completion of Boys.
Discus Girls 9:00 a.m. Boys upon completion of Girls
High Jump Boys / Girls 9:00 a.m. We use two separate pits
Pole Vault Boys 9:00 a.m.
Girls Pole Vault- upon completion of Boys
MEET GUIDELINES
PLEASE REVIEW THE MEET GUIDELINES BELOW:
NJSIAA Rules will govern.
Awards: Plaque to first place team in each individual event.
Medals to first five finishers in each event.
Trophy to the top boys and girls teams in both large and small school divisions. Please designate large or small school.
Team Scoring: 6 Places: 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 (B Teams WILL NOT count in scoring.)
Starting Heights:
Boys High Jump: 5-0, 5-3, 5-6, 5-8, etc
Girls High Jump: 4-0, 4-3, 4-6, 4-8, etc
Boys Pole Vault: 8-0, 9-0, 10-0, 11-0, up 6
Girls Pole Vault: 7-0, 8-0, up 6
Each competitor in the triple jump, long jump, shot put, discus, and javelin will be given 3 attempts.
In the 400m hurdles, two teams will run against each other and the times of the three runners will be added together for a team score.
