H.C.I.A.L. INDOOR RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

ENTRY INFORMATION
* The entry deadline is Wednesday January 3rd, 2024.
* All entries must be sent electronically to Meet Director Maurice Bell at: Vipertiming NJ@gmail.com
* Entry Payments must be mailed to:

* The cost of the event is $ 18.00 per relay.
* Entries must be submitted online at NJ Milesplit and a Hard copy must be scanned to Meet Director
Bell. The Milesplit online entry will close 3 days before the event.
* NFHS & NJSIAA Rules will govern this event
* The starter / timer will be instructed not to hold the start of any events for late check-ins.
* One (1) relay per school, per division. Freshman athletes may move up and down between
divisions since there is no Freshman title. A four (4) event maximum is n place for all athletes
regardless of division(s).
* Athletes are permitted to wear 14 or smaller pyramid spikes. No Pins or Trees.
* Athletes in each relay must wear identical uniforms. All NJSIAA rules pertaining to jewelry will be
enforced.
SCORING: Varsity = 1st - 10 points, 2nd - 8 points, 3rd - 6 points, 4th - 4 points, 5th - 2 points and 6th - 1 point Freshmen and junior varsity is non-scoring.
AWARDS: Medals to Top 3 relays in each event and each division. Plaque to winning team in varsity boys and varsity girls.
UNIFORMS: Athletes in each relay must wear identical school-issued uniforms. All rules regarding jewelry and undergarments will be enforced.
SPIKES: 1/4" (or smaller) pyramid only. No pins or trees please.
COST: $18 per relay.
CHECK: Payable to: Hudson County Interscholastic Athletic League or "HCIAL"
ENTRY: One (1) relay per school per division. Freshmen athletes may move up and down between divisions since there is no freshmen title. Freshmen may not run both divisions of the same event. Four (4) event maximum applies to all athletes regardless of division(s).
ENTRY FORMAT: Online at NJ Milesplit and hard copy / paper entry are both required
DEADLINE: Paper entry must be submitted to Maurice Bell, FAT / Meet Director by Wednesday 1/3/23 - vipertimingnj@gmail.com . Milesplit online entry will close 3 days before meet day.
UPDATES: Weather emergency, postponement, revisions, corrections and announcements will be made via email. Check your email on the day of meet if you have any concerns.

Shuttle Hurdle Relay - VB, VG HighJump Relay - VG, VB
@ 5 both / jumpers must clear height to score VG @ 4' 2"
Distance Medley Relay - VB, FB, VG, FGVB
(1200 - 400 -800 - 1600)
4 x 200m Relay - VB, FB, VG, FG, JVB, JVG
Shot Put Relay - VB, FB, VG, FG
4 x 800m Relay - VB, FB, VG, FG JVB, JVG SP: both throwers must mark to score / 3 throws, no final
Sprint Medley Relay - VB, FB, VG, FG (400-200-200-800)
4 x 400 Meter Relay - FB, FG, VB, VG
Schools MUST enter a Varsity team in the 4x200 & 4x800 to run the JV races
